‘Tree hollows are animal homes’ are a series of posters that illustrate some of the many species of Australian native animals that use tree hollows (and loose bark) for nesting and shelter. These posters are available through my Redbubble store (or contact me direct for bulk orders).

I’m very excited to release some new colour-in sheets that I’ve created from the first ‘Tree hollows are animal homes’ design. This design illustrates some of the hollow-using animal species associated with Eucalypt Open Forest (also known as Dry Sclerophyll Forest) in south-eastern Australia. It’s based on the latest scientific data and also includes a vegetation map and vegetation data contributed by Prof Don Butler – read more about this poster design here. I’ve divided the animal species up into two colour-in sheets: one shows selected birds and reptiles, the other shows selected mammals and a frog.

Both colour-ins are free to download, and you are also welcome to make multiple copies of each to give away free. (You are not permitted to make copies and sell them for money because that would be uncool and greedy!)

On the reverse side of each colour-in sheet is a picture of the poster design that these colour-ins have comes from, and a QR link to where you can order the poster. If you are printing and giving away these colour-ins, you will be doing me a favour if you also print the reverse side. In this way we can hopefully get more of these posters out into the world to raise awareness of the importance of big, old trees to wildlife.

Thanks for your support, and interest in Australian nature!

And yes I will be making colour-ins of the other posters in the series … when I get a moment!
